What is the Power BI and what is it used for?
Business analytics Solution that lets you visualize your data and share insights across your organization or embed them in your application or website.
Connect to hundreds of data sources and bring your data life with live dashboards and reports.
You can connect to your databases from Get data section and upload your tables and observe relationships between them. You can also import Excel, Text, XML, and CSV files.
There are multiple Power BI products. I use both web and desktop product.

Recommend Hardware for Power BI Desktop:
- Available RAM 1.5 GB + recommended(1 GB minimum)
- CPU: 1 GHz or faster x86, or x-64
- Display : 1440 x 900 or 1600 x 900
- Display setting for text: 100 % less
- Windows 7 / Server 2008 R2 or later
- .NET 4.5
You can create a report with visualizations and also you can modify and print a report.
You can download and use a custom visual from the gallery.
After creating Workspace, you will see a screen.
You can create Dashboard, Report, Dataset, Streaming dataset and Dataflow.
You can get Samples, Partner Showcase, Service Content Packs and more ways to create your own content.
Note: I tried and used trial version.
You can go to the report, open in focus mode, export to Excel and more options.
You can create a report from Datasets.
You can export to PowerPoint, publish to web, embed and rename and delete your reports.
You can Pin a report tile to a dashboard, pin a live report page to a dashboard, pin a tile from another dashboard.
You can share your reports.
You can generate QR Code.
